Apache Solr: The Geospatial NoSQL Database

From mobile apps to location-based marketing, geospatial data access is more prevalent than ever. In recent years, Solr has added new advanced location aware indexing and search capabilities. This includes being able to index and search complex polygons. Spatial indexes can be defined using a schema or a more dynamic schema-less mode. In this session, we will walk through getting started with Solr 6 and how to use it as a geospatial NoSQL database.
