Introduction to Apache Milagro?: Secure IoT to the Cloud

An introduction to Milagro, an Apache Incubator project for authenticating and authorizing app-centric software and IoT devices using zero-knowledge protocols and certificate-free key agreement. Milagro distributes cryptographic operations and splits cryptographic parameters, providing a level of security and functionality that is a step ahead of the certificate backed cryptosystems in service today. We will give a brief overview of zero-knowledge protocols and the Milagro model of using Distributed Trust Authorities (D-TA)s to independently issue fractions of crypto keys to clients and servers and then will go through a simple example of using the Milagro libraries in a Java server to authN/Z users with the Miracl M-Pin app.
