NET Gadgeteer Jumpstart - Programming Gadgets in C#

Prototyping small electronic devices has never been easier! .NET Gadgeteer, based on the .NET Micro Framework, is an open-source hardware and software standard for rapidly prototyping devices with easy-to-connect hardware modules and straightforward C# programming. Wiring up a new gadget takes minutes (or less). Just select the Gadgeteer modules you need, snap them together, fire up Visual Studio (Express or better), graphically describe how your device is wired, and write the code using your existing C# skills. No soldering, assembly language, hair loss, or therapy required. This session includes an overview of the hardware and software involved, shows you how to get started, discusses the issues unique to this relatively tiny .NET programming environment, walks you through C# code that works with several Gadgeteer modules, and provides pointers to additional .NET Gadgeteer resources.
